Default Idea for GWAMM title

I searched and didn't find a thread similar to this one.

I've seen a lot of people asking for an emote for the GWAMM title. And why not? It's a difficult title to obtain, with hours of grinding involved. We see people spamming zaishen emotes all day long, so why not something for GWAMM?

Well, I propose something different. Instead of having an emote for the GWAMM title, why not give players an option to display or hide a boss aura for their characters who have reached this title? I don't personally have the GWAMM title, and I don't really care to get it, but I think it would be interesting to see glowing characters running around towns and outposts. This will give players the chance to show off their title without using emotes that can irritate other players.

Give me your thoughts on this.

I find that to be similarly sufficient, if it can be toggled, but I don't believe this is so different/new/original of an idea to warrant a new thread.

That sounds interesting. It gives a PvE feel for a (generally) PvE title. /signed

I agree, it is a title with alot of grinding needed, and therefore something to be proud of and show off.

wasting all those hours of your life isn't something to be proud of.

Any idiot can get gwamm, no offense. The reward for endless and useless hours of grinding is the long piece of text under your name because that's all you deserve for obtaining it. Gladiator and champion titles deserve emote/aura or w/e, not gwamm.

And how many people do that compared to paying for missions or runs? Glad and Champ are way more prestigious than any PvE title.

ON TOPIC: I think this would be a good idea for GWAMM.

I pretty much retired my assassin when he reached GWAMM and I will probably retire my rit when he gets there later this week (been waiting for the party ites to come back around) but I still login with them to trade and to hang out and I absolutely agree that an emote or a speical GWAMM skill would RAWK!

I will never agree that the Galdiator and Champion title are more prestigious than GWAMM because in the present incarnation of GW none of the titles (YES NONE) require anything more than time spent. The game is about grind and the way you choose to grind does determine which title you get , but in the end the big titles should ALL be rewarded with something special.

/SIGNED WITH ENTHUSIASM !

In the PvE GW world GWAMM is everything, just like in the PvP GW world glad/champ/etc is everything. I think this is a great idea. More people would look forward to getting the title and have a reason to start. /signed

Yeah, see, the only problem with that is that what I'm proposing isn't an emote. It's the ability to toggle a boss aura for characters who have achieved this title.

My bad, didn't read your post properly. It's because your idea isn't new, and has been suggested in some of these 'reward for 30 titles' threads.

I apologize.

PvP NPCs have those auras.

So as long as you can't show the area inside PvP areas, that's quite fine with me.

I had a similar thought about this, but rather then that "boss aura", I was thinking something more along the lines of some kind of sparkly thing, or something a bit better looking then a giant slice of red covering your character.

If not, then I propose that when a character gets gwamm, their name comes up gold rather then green in outposts. It's less distracting, but alerting to people in town.

I agree that an Aura set-up for GWAMM would be a good way to display it, when the title box is checked and there are the 30 titles achieved.
